The four core values at the heart of P.L.O.T.
We start the day in the community hub following the P4C philosophical enquiry approach. Not only developing critical thinking, it will also provide opportunities for discussion and debate around current issues. The curriculum for this session will reflect the core areas of the GCSE syllabus for citizenship. For the primary pupils, the P4C framework will be embeded into their circle time at the start of each day.
Life skills will be embedded into everything we do at P.L.O.T. Problem solving activities and team building provided in the afternoon will help to develop and enhance communication and confidence. Outdoor and indoor cooking will provide opportunity for health and hygiene awareness and first aid.
Workshop one as an art studio including access to paint, textiles and clay. This is where the secondary pupils will be based. Workshop two is designed to be an interactive hub for our primary school pupils. It is designed to bring the great outdoor inside to engage them. The outdoor classroom provides opportunity to learn about the environment and animal care.
Children and young people will be encouraged to believe in themselves in order to reach their full potential. Success days will be planned every half term to celebrate individual achievements on all levels.
